Job summary

Aerials Ltd is seeking a Junior Engineer - Multi Skilled to join the on-site installation team in London and the South East. You will support senior engineers, learn our installation standards and help deliver projects on time with high workmanship.

The role requires an ECS Card and willingness to grow in a busy, field-based environment. You will work with CCTV, door entry/access, AV and life-safety systems, with full training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current ECS Card is required along with other sector accreditations
• Some experience in installation roles or on construction sites (low voltage preferred)
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Willingness to learn, take feedback and improve skills over time

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of equipment and materials on site per industry standards
• Support senior engineers with containment, cabling and device installation
• Keep work areas tidy and safe, and organise tools and materials
• Enter correct and detailed reports on SIMPRO mobile app
• Follow RAMS and PPE procedures and maintain high quality workmanship
• Liaise with clients and site teams to provide progress updates

Job description

We are small family run business who offer specialist system installation services to the construction industry, specifically working in the new build housing sector. We are seeking a Junior Engineer - Multi Skilled on a Full time basis, to work within our installation team delivering a range of low voltage specialist systems such as:

• CCTV Systems
• Door Entry & Access Control Systems
• AV Systems
• Fire and Life Safety systems

Reporting to the Operations Manager successful candidates will be responsible for supporting senior engineers on site, learning our installation standards, and working towards delivering projects on time and to our high quality of standards and workmanship.

We are looking for an energetic and confident individual who is ready to take on a new challenge and work within a growing team of professionals.

• Assisting with installation of equipment and materials as per industry and British standards
• Supporting senior engineers with containment, cabling and device installation
• Keeping work areas tidy and safe at all times
• Ensuring tools, materials and site areas are organised and accounted for
• Ensure all work carried out is of a high quality and standard
• To follow safe working procedures and operating procedures
• To follow all compliance procedures
• To enter correct and detailed reports on our SIMPRO mobile app system
• To work safely following all RAMS and correct use of provided PPE
• Updating progress trackers for live projects
• Liaising with clients and site teams to provide progress updates (with support)
• Supporting snagging and basic fault finding under supervisionSupporting system handover and training to clients (where required)
• Ensuring your time is managed efficiently and tasks are prioritised correctly on site
• Provide excellent Customer Service to exceed the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.

• Some experience working in a similar installation role or on construction sites (low voltage preferred)

Expected Qualifications

As a minimum we expect engineers to hold a current ECS Card in addition to other manufacturer and sector specific accreditations.

Future Developments and Opportunities

Training and supervision would be provided but it is expected that the successful candidate would continually increase their market and technical competence on their own initiative.

Development from the initial role could be driven by the successful candidate as the company grows to progress to Installation Engineer, Senior, Commissioning and Management roles.

• This is a Full time field based position working primarily in London and the South east.
• Working hours to be 6.30am-4pm Monday to Friday although some flexibility may be required
• 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays + extra day for birthday
• Excellent Overtime rates to boost your earnings x1.5 on Saturdays, x2 on Sundays
