Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of the VolkerWessels UK Group, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer for a major project in Chesterfield. You will take ownership of technical delivery, engage with site teams, and ensure safety, quality and timely execution of civil work packages.

The role requires on-site leadership, a civil engineering degree, CSCS accreditation, and experience on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects. A full UK driving licence and strong stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on major infrastructure, energy or substation projects.
• CSCS accreditation and strong knowledge of engineering controls, setting out and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery and engineering control of key civil work packages on site.
• Lead engineering activities on site, coordinating with Site Agents, Sub Agents and project teams.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
