Job summary

HKA is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Forensic Technical Services team in London to lead technical analysis across construction disputes. You will investigate complex building services issues, review drawings and reports, and support expert commissions alongside leading engineers.

Working with a global team, you will develop expert capability, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to high‑profile investigations, dispute resolution and litigation support across international projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or clear progression toward chartership.
• 15+ years of building services consultancy or contracting experience.
• Strong experience in design, delivery, commissioning and operation of MEP systems.
• Experience on diverse building sectors and complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations and analysis for construction disputes.
• Review drawings, specs, calculations and reports to support conclusions.
• Prepare technical outputs and ensure peer review alignment.
• Assist in preparing reports, chronologies and evidence for litigation.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support client meetings.
• Contribute to business development and client engagement.
