Job summary

Ofgem is looking for two Senior Engineers – Electrical to join their newly created Asset Health & Network Resilience team in Cardiff. This role is pivotal for advancing a new Asset Health Inspectorate aimed at enhancing the performance and resilience of electrical networks across the UK.

The ideal candidates will hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have experience in asset management within electricity systems. This position offers a hybrid working model with an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering roles related to asset management within electricity transmission or distribution.
• Knowledge of electrical asset health, lifecycle, degradation, and performance assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative insight to strengthen technical capability in asset health.
• Contribute to the evolution of asset health frameworks and risk metrics.
• Support the establishment of a formal Asset Health Inspectorate.
