Strata Consulting in Reading, Berkshire is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Southern region and drive engineering design for high-profile housing developments.

You will coordinate multi-stakeholder teams, oversee consultants, and ensure designs meet technical and regulatory standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Qualified Civil Engineer with degree or HNC/HND and residential development experience.
• Knowledge of highways, drainage, utilities, and earthworks design.
• Experience in Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering design of new housing developments from land acquisition to site completion.

The Role

• Managing the engineering design of new housing developments, from land acquisition through to site completion.
• Overseeing external consultants, reviewing designs, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
• Liaising with local authorities, statutory bodies, and contractors to progress approvals and technical agreements.
• Supporting the delivery team with engineering solutions on-site, ensuring developments are safe, efficient, and commercially viable.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.

What We’re Looking For
