Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a Tier 1 principal contractor on a major life science/commercial project in Oxford. You’ll lead engineering delivery, oversee setting out, surveying and interfaces between permanent works, temporary works and specialist subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in major building projects.
• Experience on complex concrete frame schemes.
• Experience with demolition and deep-basement works.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering activities across the project.
• Oversee setting out, surveying and dimensional control.
• Manage engineering interfaces between permanent works, temporary works and subcontractors.
• Provide technical support through demolition, excavation and basement construction phases.
• Coordinate delivery of the double-basement structure and concrete works.
• Review drawings and design information to identify issues before they impact programme.
• Ensure works comply with project specs and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers within the team.
