Job summary

Nexus Packaging Ltd seeks a Senior Engineer for its extrusion blow moulding operation in Scotland. You will lead the engineering department, ensure peak machine performance, and drive continuous improvement while developing technical staff and maintaining rigorous SOPs and safety standards.

You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Director to implement new tooling and training, align with quality, and document processes for ongoing excellence in production.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer role for extrusion blow moulding operations with responsibility for equipment, safety and process improvements.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and training programmes.
• Experience with maintenance planning and fault diagnosis in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering department, maintaining peak machine performance.
• Develop training programs with Manufacturing Director for engineers.
• Improve blow moulding processes and tooling implementation.
• Train production staff on machine adjustments and SOP adherence.
• Ensure SOPs and safety procedures are read and followed.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production to meet standards.
• Document engineering processes and maintain machine logs.
• Engage with internal teams and vendors to coordinate activities.
