Job summary

Deliveroo London-based team on a DoorDash contract is seeking a Senior Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems. You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and data pipelines powering accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows.

You’ll work with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate financial requirements into reliable, auditable systems, mentor junior engineers, and shape architecture and best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering
• Understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability
• Collaborative with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting and Engineering

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of accounting infrastructure projects—designing/building backend services, data pipelines, and integrations
• Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into auditable, automated systems
• Shape the team’s architecture and engineering practices, mentoring junior engineers
• Drive improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a high-impact environment
