Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a Permanent Senior Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales. The role focuses on engineering management of schemes along the M4 Corridor within a busy project delivery team.

You will provide technical leadership, oversee on-site activities, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and approved methodologies.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience within heavy civil engineering projects.
• Experience on water/wastewater or utilities projects (preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Abatec has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Senior Engineer to join a leading Teir 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales.

With a significant pipeline of work secured through the current investment period, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established team and work on a range of complex civil engineering and water schemes.

The successful candidate will join a project delivery team responsible for the engineering management of schemes across the South Wales region with a particular focus of schemes along the M4 Corridor.

As Senior Engineer you will:

• Provide technical and engineering leadership across your section of works
• Manage and coordinate engineering activities on site
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies

Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:

Salary/Benefits:
