Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a growing civil and structural team supporting nuclear, energy, water, transport and oil and gas sectors. You will lead small projects, prepare feasibility studies, and deliver robust design solutions across disciplines.

The role involves liaising with BIM teams, driving technical proposals, and mentoring junior staff. Travel to client sites across the North West and North Wales is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in civil and structural design on regulated projects.
• Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and design calculations.
• Strong client communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary BIM teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead projects and work packages with minimal supervision.
• Prepare feasibility studies and detailed design solutions for civil/structural works.
• Produce design calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Carry out structural condition surveys and provide findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with BIM teams and construction personnel for design delivery.
• Support safe and efficient project delivery and respond to client needs.
• Contribute to technical proposals and value engineering opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a growing civil and structural engineering team supporting projects across the nuclear, energy, water, transport and oil and gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead small projects and technical work packages with minimal supervision
• Prepare feasibility studies, reference designs and detailed design solutions for civil and structural works
• Produce design analysis, calculations, specifications, technical reports and related documentation
• Carry out structural condition surveys and provide clear findings and recommendations
• Communicate designs effectively to BIM teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• Work closely with construction teams to support safe and effective project delivery
• Communicate confidently with clients and contribute to technical proposals
• Identify and deliver value engineering solutions while supporting and guiding junior team members

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in civil and structural engineering design
• Experience working on nuclear, energy, infrastructure or other highly regulated engineering projects
• Proven experience of structural condition surveys
• Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, analysis and calculations
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, reports and design documentation
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience of communicating designs to BIM teams and working collaboratively with construction personnel
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight at client sites across the North West and North Wales
