Kenna Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer for a leading Main Contractor on a major RC frame project in London. The role covers engineering delivery from early stages through to completion, reporting to the Project Manager and coordinating with design and site teams.

You will set out, survey, review drawings and specs, manage subcontractors, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

Competenze

• Proven experience as Site/Senior Engineer for a Main Contractor.
• Experience on reinforced concrete frame projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and construction specifications.
• CSCS card and prior site experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a well-established Main Contractor on a major construction project.

The successful candidate will be working on a significant reinforced concrete (RC) frame project, taking responsibility for the engineering and technical delivery of the project from the early stages through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Engineer looking to join a reputable contractor and work on a challenging, high-value project.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support across the project, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Design Team and subcontractors to ensure the works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating engineering activities on site.
• Setting out and surveying to ensure works are constructed accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Working closely with the project team to resolve technical and engineering issues.
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Coordinating with the design team and raising RFIs where required.
• Managing and monitoring subcontractor works.
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Supporting the planning and sequencing of construction activities.
• Maintaining accurate records, quality documentation and as-built information.
• Assisting with temporary works coordination where required.
• Ensuring all engineering activities comply with the company's health, safety and quality procedures.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the project team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer for a Main Contractor.
• Strong experience working on reinforced concrete frame projects.
• A solid understanding of setting out and construction engineering principles.
• Experience working with concrete, formwork, reinforcement and associated structural works.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS card and relevant site experience.
