Job summary

Venesky Brown is seeking a Senior Engineer / Sub-Agent for a Glasgow-based airport project. The role covers hands-on site engineering with strong setting-out and supervision of engineers, in a live operational environment.

Location is Glasgow Airport; duration is temporary, through to January 2027, with ASAP start. The ideal candidate has airport/airfield experience and can work as part of a delivery team on site.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer or equivalent with proven setting-out capability.
• Experience supervising engineers on site.
• Willingness to work hands-on on site when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead setting-out activities on site and ensure accuracy.
• Supervise engineers and manage on-site technical delivery.
• Work within a live operational airport environment and coordinate with delivery teams.

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Senior Site Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub-Agent
• Experience managing or supervising other engineers
• Strong setting-out capability
• Comfortable working in a hands-on site engineering role when required
• Scotland based, ideally within commuting distance of Glasgow

Highly desirable experience

Previous airport / airfield / aviation experience would be a strong advantage, particularly exposure to:

• Airfield concrete works
• AGL – Aeronautical Ground Lighting
• Airside civils
• Access permit management
• Working within a live operational airport environment

This could suit an experienced Senior Engineer looking for their next contract, or a Sub-Agent who still enjoys being involved in the technical and setting-out side of project delivery.
