Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London seeks a Senior Trade Control Analyst to join the team. You will perform daily validation and control activities across energy commodities, owning end-to-end deliverables and acting as a reference point for junior analysts.

You will liaise with Front Office and Middle Office to ensure accurate trade booking and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes ownership of controls, escalation as a senior SME, and collaboration across IT systems and governance

Competenze

• University degree in a numeracy-oriented discipline (Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Risk Management).
• Significant experience in Product Control, Market Risk, Middle Office or Risk Management in a commodity or financial trading organisation. Knowledge of Gas, Power, Emissions and LNG required.
• Knowledge of risk metrics and internal control systems for physical and financial transactions.
• Proficiency with IT systems and tools: Excel, VBA, Power BI, SQL, Openlink Endur and Python.
• Understanding of control processes in a trading/regulatory environment and familiarity with EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank.

• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned controls and deliverables with strong audit trails.
• Serve as senior escalation point and SME for Trade Control across controls, systems, and regulatory topics.
• Coach and review junior analysts to ensure quality and timely output.
• Perform daily trade validation for physical and financial energy transactions (Gas, Power, Emissions, LNG, Oil).
• Validate daily curve/price data and ensure market data accuracy per procedures.
• Support end-of-day processes, Position and P&L reporting, and governance of breaches and exceptions.
• Monitor trade lifecycle events and ensure correct system representation and escalation when needed.
• Assist with SOX and internal control documentation, evidence collection, and remediation tracking.
• Support exchange/clearing activities and reconciliation with clearers and brokers.
• Lead automation and digitalization initiatives within Trade Control and participate in system enhancements.
