Job summary

DNV is seeking experienced Senior and Principal Consultants in the energy storage sector. The role focuses on technical due diligence for BESS projects, risk and safety advisory, and broader energy system asset evaluation.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience in a consulting environment or for a developer, with a specialty in battery storage, renewables, or infrastructure electrification.
• Technical expertise in power industry and/or renewables projects and risk and safety management.
• Experience in technical due diligence projects.
• Expertise in planning, grid applications, technology evaluation, site assessment, risk management, safety/fire assessments, contract analysis, and financial model reviews.
• Experience leading complex projects and/or workstreams with strong reporting and analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills; commercially minded with market insight.

Responsibilities

• Project management: lead due diligence and advisory projects, guiding a team of consultants.
• Project delivery: lead work packages in battery storage projects and support global engagements.
• Thought leadership: develop materials and represent DNV at events for industry engagement and business development.
• Business development: identify opportunities through client networks and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Proposal development: create proposals based on client discussions or tenders.
• Communication: build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Technical leadership and mentoring: train and mentor others within the team.
