The Green Recruitment Company has been independently engaged by a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy renowned for integrating advisory, management, and execution services on mid to large energy reduction and optimisation projects.

The Role

We are seeking a high-calibre individual to join their energy reduction team, based at an impressive site outside of Manchester.

Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Engineering, the role will include:

1. Providing essential commercial support, project production and management of delivery, research, technical site surveys, administration, and general activities to support energy savings.
2. Conducting client site technical analysis of manufacturing environments to identify and evaluate energy reduction opportunities in both process and non-process areas.
3. Performing electrical and thermal energy analysis to identify, evaluate, design, and implement engineering projects aimed at reducing large-scale consumption and costs for businesses across the UK.
4. Reviewing energy usage on sites and assessing the performance of implemented enhancements against budget, identifying and implementing improvements for underperforming sites.
5. Utilizing CAD software and similar tools.
6. Evaluating and preparing specifications for energy equipment and contractors.
7. Managing customer technical interfaces and relationships at the Operations Manager and Engineering Manager levels.
8. Participating actively in the technical sales and project delivery processes for new client acquisitions.

Required Experience

1. Experience in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering design, ideally with exposure to CHP and District Heating.
2. Commercial or sales experience with effective communication skills at all levels.
3. Experience in energy audits and report production.
4. Strong technical engineering knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Thermal applications for implementing energy-saving solutions such as inverters/variable speed drives (VSDs), base load reduction, ASC, compressed air, pumps, drives, motors, hydraulics, HVAC/extraction LEV, LED lighting, CHP, biomass systems, ORC, and heat recovery.
5. Experience conducting manufacturing site surveys, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal energy performance assessments.
6. Knowledge of building engineering services for commercial buildings.
7. Understanding of industrial and commercial TPM requirements.
8. Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
