Tokio Marine HCC International is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Marine & Energy Liability (MEL) with a focus on Energy Liability. You will underwrite, develop new business, and contribute to portfolio strategy while building strong broker and client relationships.

The role demands strong technical underwriting judgment and commercial awareness. You will work in a hybrid environment with significant stakeholder interaction and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

• Five years’+ Energy Liability underwriting experience with Lloyd’s/international markets.
• Strong technical knowledge of Energy Liability and pricing methods.
• Broad understanding of Upstream/Downstream/Power/Renewables and construction exposure.
• Experience with North American and international business networks and broker relations.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite new and renewal MEL business through Lloyd’s and Company within authority.
• Lead Energy Liability initiatives across Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and renewables.
• Assess and price complex risks including exposures, contracts, and terms.
• Develop MEL underwriting strategy and portfolio profitability.
• Perform portfolio analysis, identify trends, and coordinate underwriting actions.
• Grow broker relationships and originate new profitable business.
• Present risks in peer reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, and Exposure Management.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues; maintain high file quality and compliance.
