Job summary

Jacobs in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior/Principal Energy Consultant with an engineering background to expand our Energy & Power team. You will manage and deliver advisory services, focusing on energy management, efficiency improvements and decarbonisation strategies.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop feasibility studies, and provide thought leadership across regulatory changes and technology advances, while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of safety principles across project development and operation.
• Experience in energy systems, utilities, and large-energy assets.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control for process optimization.
• Membership or progress towards a recognised engineering institution (CEng preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and delivery of energy projects.
• Provide technical leadership during concept design and FEED.
• Develop feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Support governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
