The opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced Energy Casualty Underwriter with Marine Liability or P&I experience to join our high performing Commercial Casualty team in Mark Lane, London. Reporting to Head of Energy Casualty, you’ll bring product expertise and market insight to develop the Energy Casualty business that meets our customers’ needs.

What will you be doing?
As the Senior Underwriter, you’ll work closely and will have the opportunity to mentor and coach Underwriter’s in the team. Collaboration and communication are critical in this role. You’ll be collaborating with internal colleagues and teams to drive initiatives and deliverables aimed at the International Energy Casualty market, as well as delivering on the external facing element of the role, meeting and building relationships with external brokers and policyholders within the market.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you’ll be an experienced Energy Casualty Underwriter looking for that next step or a new challenge at a large, global insurer. We would expect you to have London Market experience and ideally experience dealing with the writing of Marine and Energy liability. Experience of the US market will be beneficial but not essential!
Strong communication and influencing skills are needed so we would like you to be able to demonstrate this. We are also looking for someone to bring their expertise and help us grow, so knowledge and understanding of industry trends is a must for us. We would also expect you to have CII qualifications or to have made good progress.
