Job description

You will support Londoners at risk of fuel poverty, helping them reduce their energy costs and make a real difference while leading a team.

This role involves making 23 visits per day in London, mainly in West / North West London. A typical visit will involve assessing energy needs and exploring ways to lower bills, such as:

  1. Energy-saving advice, like supporting people with switching suppliers or suggesting energy-efficient times to use power.
  2. Practical support, including installing energy-saving light bulbs or simple draught-proofing (training provided).
  3. Accessing grants or bill support, such as applying for grants for white goods or cavity wall insulation, or helping with bill write-offs.

You will manage a small team, dedicating one day a week to shadow team members and having them shadow you to ensure best practices are followed.

To apply, the charity welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds. Ideally, you will have experience in energy advice and some management or supervisory experience. Experience working with vulnerable clients, visiting people at home, and some supervisory experience are also valuable.

The role is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, typically 9 am to 5:30 pm, with core hours from 10 am to 3 pm, offering flexibility. A driving license is essential, as a company car will be provided. You will report to the central London office once a month, spending most of your time on visits.

Please apply via this advert. We aim to respond to everyone. If you do not receive feedback within 72 hours, feel free to contact us through the Red 5 People website or call the office and ask for James. Contact details are available on the website.
