Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Senior Manager in Reward & Employment to advise on employment tax matters for national and global clients. You will lead governance, risks, and opportunities across PAYE, NIC, benefits and reporting, while engaging HMRC and delivering commercial solutions.

The role combines technical tax advice with client relationship management and project delivery in a collaborative team, focusing on high-quality outcomes and practical improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment tax and governance.
• Knowledge of PAYE, NIC, benefits and reporting.
• Strong advisory and project delivery skills.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships across organisations.
• Willingness to collaborate across Reward and Employment projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on PAYE and NIC matters, including payroll, expenses and benefits, year-end reporting such as PSA, Form 42 and P11Ds.
• Support HMRC investigations, compliance projects and large assignments, liaising with tax authorities.
• Develop expenses and benefits policies, due diligence for tax/NIC exposures in transactions like acquisitions.
• Consult on CIS, National Minimum/Living Wage, holiday pay, pay governance and IR35 implications.
