Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Employment Partner to lead the Employment team in Bath and drive growth across Bristol and the Southwest. The role requires an established client following and a clear growth plan for the Bath market.

The successful candidate will manage a team, develop profitable client work, and shape strategic plans and BD initiatives while delivering high‑quality legal advice.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ PQE in employment law.
• Solid business plan for Bath market growth.
• Strong client management and service focus.
• Proven BD and new business win record.
• Experience managing a small team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, profitable work on your own matters.
• Build and strengthen relationships with clients and referrers.
• Agree service scopes, pricing structures and charging models.
• Demonstrate market knowledge to deliver robust legal advice.
• Contribute to and implement departmental business plans.
• Lead BD initiatives and generate new business.
• Expand your network of clients, intermediaries and referrers.
• Supervise, coach and delegate work to junior team members.
• Understand KPIs and contribute to performance.
