The role:

As Senior Employment Lawyer, you’ll act as the key legal business partner, supporting a wide range of matters related to employee relations across the Council and the wider community.

• You will advise Officers, Councillors, and maintained schools on all aspects of employment law.
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements.
• Handle employment claims and draft legal responses.
• You will be regarded as the employment expert and will be called upon for guidance on internal policies and procedures.
• Support TUPE arrangements and handle related issues as they arise.

About you:

To be successful in this position, you will:

• Possess demonstrable experience of working within and advising on employment law.
• Be an excellent negotiator with strong communication skills at all levels of seniority.
