Job summary

CRA Consulting, acting for a leading national law firm, seeks a Legal Director – Employment to lead the Sheffield Employment team. You will advise major employers and senior HR leaders while shaping the practice across Yorkshire and the UK.

The role combines strategic leadership with high‑level casework, client development and mentoring of junior lawyers. You will manage complex matters, drive growth, and collaborate across Corporate, Commercial and Dispute Resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong technical employment law knowledge.
• Experience advising major employers and senior decision-makers.
• Ability to manage complex and strategically important matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client-management skills.
• A practical and commercially focused approach.
• A record of developing trusted client relationships.
• Confidence supervising and developing other lawyers.
• A credible business development plan or established professional network.
• The ability to collaborate across a national practice.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with regional and national clients.
