Job summary

Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP's Reading Employment team is seeking a 5–8 year PQE Associate to join the practice and support partners in Reading and across offices. The role covers contentious and non-contentious employment matters including capability, conduct concerns, TUPE, whistleblowing, tribunals, settlements, and trade union law, with a strong emphasis on business development.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years PQE and experience in education sector matters, senior executive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-qualification employment law experience
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Strong business development experience and client-facing skills
• Experience with education sector matters (schools, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Handle employer and senior executive advisory matters
• Assist in education sector issues including complaints, regulatory and SEND Tribunal matters
• Undertake fee-earning work and contribute to the Employment Team's profitability
• Support business development and promote the firm externally
