Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a senior Employee Relations and Employment Law professional to lead UK coverage and support European matters. You will investigate complex issues, design compliant performance frameworks, and train managers across regions.

You will build local policies aligned with labor laws, engage with works councils and unions, and establish governance for ongoing compliance in a fast-growing, global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated track record of independently conducting sensitive, multi-jurisdictional investigations and preparing robust documentation and findings.
• At least 8+ years of Employee Relations/Labor Relations/Employment Law in multinational or high-growth environments.
• Experience with European Works Councils and trade unions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for Employee Relations and Labor Relations in the UK and support Europe as needed.
• Conduct investigations into complex employee matters in compliance with local laws.
• Design fair performance management frameworks aligned with local labor standards.
• Build training programs for managers on local compliance and expectations across regions.
• Develop playbooks, procedures, and compliance checklists.
• Localize global People policies to regional labor legislation while upholding company principles.
• Advise cross-functional partners on engaging with works councils and unions.
• Establish governance to monitor and audit UK and regional employment compliance.
