Job summary
University Hospitals Dorset invites applications for full-time, permanent Specialty Doctor posts in Emergency Medicine, spanning Poole Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Qualifications
- Full GMC registration and medical license.
- Minimum 4 years postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine.
- Experience in ED with IAC completion or significant anaesthetic experience.
- Intensive care exposure and participation in audit/teaching activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, resuscitation and stabilisation of emergency patients.
- Lead and supervise junior doctors and staff; work with consultants and specialty teams.
- Contribute to teaching, governance, CPD and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Tier 4 rota; deliver 24/7 emergency care across sites.
