Job summary

The post holder will be based at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust within the Emergency Department, under the Medical Division.

The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) will use a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making alongside demonstrating the four pillars of practice, Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education and Research in providing healthcare that enables innovative solutions to enhance experience and improve outcomes within their speciality area.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC/GPhC/HCPC.
• First degree in healthcare profession (e.g. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Paramedicine).
• MSc in Advanced Practice or NHS Centre for Advancing Practice portfolio.
• Non-Medical Prescribing (V300).
• ALS provider.
• APLS or EPALS provider.

Responsibilities

• Independent clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within agreed scope of practice.
• Refer patients to relevant specialities for investigations.
• Facilitate safe patient discharge.
