Job summary

Fractile is building a control plane to power and protect racks across bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux. You’ll develop firmware and services for management controllers, drive production bring-up and deployment, and implement secure, observable systems to keep fleets healthy and recoverable.

You’ll work closely with HW and driver teams to define reliable interfaces, validate behavior, and debug boundary issues, delivering robust solutions for next‑gen AI hardware.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping production-critical embedded systems across two or more of bare metal, RTOS, embedded Linux
• Strong C and/or Rust with good safety, testing, debugging and failure-mode discipline
• Reliability-first mindset focusing on observability, diagnosability and recoverability
• Comfort working near hardware/software boundary and collaborating with HW, drivers and runtime teams
• Computer Science/Engineering/Math/Physics degree and 3+ years of industry experience

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and services for management controllers at rack level: RTOS and bare metal
• Build systems software for board and rack management from bring-up to production
• Implement critical flows for fleet health: power-on, provisioning, monitoring, updates, recovery and security
• Integrate with host/device stack and run-time libraries to ensure end-to-end operation
• Collaborate with hardware and device software teams to define interfaces and debug boundary issues
