Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement secure, network-connected software for embedded products. You will write production-quality code and work with hardware, firmware, software, test and compliance teams.

The role requires strong Embedded C/C++ experience, networking knowledge (Ethernet/TCP/IP/UDP/IP), and hands-on work with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and RTOS.

Qualifications

• Strong background in embedded software engineering.
• Experience with embedded C and C++ programming.
• Good knowledge/experience of networking technologies and protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S).
• Experience implementing secure communications or cybersecurity features.
• ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontroller experience.
• RTOS experiences such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Azure RTOS.
• Bare-metal development and low-level driver development experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing embedded software for connected products.
• Writing, reviewing, testing and maintaining production-quality code.
• Implementing secure communication protocols.
• Working with networking technologies and RFC-based networking principles.
• Developing low-level software and device drivers.
• Working with peripherals including SPI, I2C, I2S and UART.
• Contributing to software architecture, design reviews and technical problem solving.
