Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc in Malvern is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering software for innovative electronics systems. You will apply rigorous engineering practices across the lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, testing and support of mission-critical solutions.

The role requires extensive C/C++ experience, embedded platform design and UML with test tools, and a degree in CS/Engineering/Math. Occasional site attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing in C and/or C++.
• Experience with configuration management/change management.
• Knowledge of specification, design and implementation of complex software.
• Experience developing for embedded platforms; FPGA interfacing helpful.
• Ability to design software using UML and work with test tools.

• Act as the Project Design Authority for software development activities.
• Communicate ideas with stakeholders and customers across levels.
• Innovate in applying digital hardware technologies to embedded systems.
