RINA is a 160-year-old global consultancy servicing multiple industries and is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Mission Systems business unit, due to continued growth and success.

Recent embedded software development projects have augmented capabilities for cockpit & pilot systems, avionics equipment, simulation systems, and autonomous flight systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to software requirements analysis and design.
• Defining software architecture and preparing related documents and reports.
• Developing and coding software for embedded computer units.
• Integrating embedded software on hardware, including debugging and testing.

Skills and experience required:

• A Graduate (BEng, MEng, or MSc) in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of Software Engineering experience.
• Experience in embedded software development and C/C++ programming is a MUST.
• Object-oriented design experience, associated with UML formalism.
• Knowledge of configuration management and code versioning tools (e.g., GitHub, SVN, or Redmine).
• Ideally, experience with safety-critical applications in high-hazard environments.
• Defense industry experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Proven team player supporting colleagues.
• Passionate problem solver with a logical mindset.
• Current SC clearance or British citizenship, willing to attain UK Security Clearance.
