Job summary
Nuclera, a Cambridge-based biotech company behind the eProtein Discovery platform, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join a small, driven engineering team. You will contribute to the next growth phase by delivering full lifecycle software for prototypes, products and support tools within a cross-functional environment.
Over 6–12 months, your role will broaden to include other languages and technologies, potentially extending to electronics and PCB design, while maintaining strong
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS or a related field.
- 5+ years of full lifecycle development for multi-technology products.
- Life science equipment/medical device experience desired.
- Proficient in C for STM32 and Raspberry Pi Pico 2; Python3 and Bash.
Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle development and release management for prototypes, products and support tools.
- Project management: planning, risk management, execution and monitoring with budget awareness.
- Quality management: coding standards, static analysis, reviews and testing (unit/integration).
- Collaborate across disciplines including electronics/PCB design and document effectively.
