Job summary

Octagon Group in Southampton seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive development, maintenance and enhancement of embedded software across products. You will collaborate with software, FPGA and SoC teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in embedded development, a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or CS, strong data structures knowledge, Linux experience, CI/CD familiarity and security clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, OOD and software design patterns.
• Security clearance will be needed.

Responsibilities

We’re working with an established engineering business developing sophisticated embedded systems and are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team.

The Role - Senior Embedded Software Engineer -Southampton

You’ll be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of embedded software across a range of products, working closely with software, FPGA and SoC engineering teams.
