Job summary

IC Resources in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to take responsibility for full lifecycle embedded development, designing and developing robust firmware for real-world devices.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in firmware/embedded C, with STM32/PIC32, Python, I2C, SPI, Serial, RTOS or bare-metal programming, and an interest in hardware aspects such as PCB schematics. Embedded Linux or SoC/SOM experience would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in firmware/embedded C development.
• Experience with a range of MCUs, especially STM32 and PIC32.
• Proficiency in Python and common protocols (I2C, SPI, Serial).
• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal firmware and hardware awareness.
• Nice to have Embedded Linux or SoC/SOM for embedded Linux apps.

Fabulous new opportunity for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer in Cheltenham to take responsibility for full lifecycle Embedded Development, designing and developing robust embedded firmware suitable for real-world devices and applications.

Salary to £50k - £60k plus hybrid working and benefits

I am seeking a well educated Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with minimum of 5 years in firmware/embedded C development with knowledge of a range of microcontrollers such as STM32 /PIC32. Applicants should also have hands-on experience with Python, a knowledge of standard communication protocols e.g. I2C, SPI, Serial and familiarity with both RTOS and bare-metal programming is also required.

The Senior Firmware Engineer will have a good appreciation for hardware with perhaps an interest in PCB Schematics. Any knowledge of Embedded Linux or experience using SoC or SOM for embedded linux applications would be beneficial.
