Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a technology company specializing in advanced sensing and measurement systems. This senior hands-on role involves significant technical ownership and work on SoC-FPGA platforms, interfacing ARM processors, FPGA logic, and measurement hardware.

You will develop embedded software in C/C++ on ARM-based systems, manage processor-to-FPGA integration, and contribute to high-speed data acquisition and signal processing.

Qualifications

• Embedded Linux expertise required.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with ARM-based embedded platforms.
• Strong HW/SW integration capabilities.
• Familiar with FPGA-connected systems and data path integration.
• Knowledge of signal processing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded Linux software in C/C++ for ARM-based platforms.
• Work on ARM/SoC development and processor-to-FPGA integration.
• Handle AXI, DMA, interrupts and memory-mapped I/O.
• Create and optimize low-level drivers and interfaces.
• Enable high-speed data acquisition and processing.
• Port MATLAB/Python algorithms into embedded C/C++ and optimize performance.
• Contribute to hardware/software co-design and system-level validation.

We re recruiting a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a specialist technology company developing advanced sensing and measurement systems.

This is a senior, hands-on role with significant technical ownership. You ll work on SoC-FPGA platforms, developing the embedded software that sits between ARM processors, FPGA programmable logic and complex measurement systems.

The Role:

• Embedded Linux development in C/C++
• ARM / SoC development
• Processor-to-FPGA integration
• AXI, DMA, interrupts and memory-mapped I/O
• Low-level interfaces and drivers
• High-speed data acquisition and processing
• Porting MATLAB/Python algorithms into embedded C/C++
• Signal processing and hardware/software co-design

What We re Looking For:

Strong commercial experience with:

• Embedded Linux, ideally PetaLinux or Yocto
• C/C++
• ARM-based embedded systems
• Low-level hardware/software integration
• FPGA-connected systems

Experience with Zynq UltraScale+, signal processing, device drivers, Edge AI or industrial/test-and-measurement systems would be particularly valuable.
