Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect to shape the next generation of defence-grade systems. You will lead software engineering efforts, translate requirements into robust architectures, and drive integration of advanced software and EW capabilities across platforms.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders, evaluate design approaches, and promote modularity, reuse, and best practices in toolchains.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software and system architecture.
• Knowledge of C++ and Linux/VXWorks desirable.
• Familiarity with UML modelling and design patterns.
• Understanding of requirements engineering and network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Engage with project stakeholders to determine system and software level requirements.
• Collaborate in the architectural solutions at a platform to determine the software solutions that will be developed.
• Influence the development approach considering design principles, modularity and reuse, best practice, toolchain and much more.
