Job summary
GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to design and support embedded hardware platforms used in energy and power systems. You will lead hardware engineering across the product lifecycle, collaborating with firmware, safety, and verification teams to deliver robust solutions.
The role requires advanced analogue/digital design expertise, experience with embedded hardware in energy applications, and strong leadership within a global engineering organization.
Qualifications
- Advanced design background in analogue and digital electronics
- Experience with embedded hardware in industrial/energy applications
- Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment and ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts
Responsibilities
- Design and support embedded hardware platforms across product lifecycle
- Lead hardware engineering activities and collaborate with firmware, safety, and verification teams
- Support design-for-manufacture, design-for-test, reliability, and obsolescence mitigation
- Provide technical leadership and interface between UK hardware teams and global R&D/manufacturing
