Job summary

Ripcord Designs Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer in Hertfordshire to join a growing consultancy focused on a variety of projects across IoT, medical devices, and robotics.

You will design and develop electronics hardware and embedded software for diverse products, collaborating with senior engineers and clients. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, board design, and contributing to innovative solutions in a collaborative, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of electronics design experience in industry.
• Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Board design incl. schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience with analogue and digital design incl. EMC, power supplies, wireless.

Responsibilities

• From customer requirements to develop new products.
• Collaborate in a team to deliver innovative solutions.
• Design boards including schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Board bring-up, verification and test.
• Liaise with customers for integration and problem resolution.
• Write technical reports and attend client meetings.
