Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will lead firmware development, drive delivery of embedded products and mentor engineers across multiple platforms.

You'll own project delivery end-to-end, collaborate with architecture and leadership, and contribute to product strategy while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. This role offers hybrid work with technical depth and leadership growth.

Formación

• Demonstrable experience in embedded firmware development with leadership.
• Strong Embedded C/C++ expertise and RTOS experience (FreeRTOS/Zephyr).
• MCU/SoC experience (ARM Cortex M, ESP32) is required.
• Full product lifecycle experience from requirements through production.
• BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead firmware development projects across multiple platforms and device types.
• Collaborate with architecture team on technical design decisions and implementation.
• Manage project delivery and technical timelines with the engineering manager.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to grow technically.
• Collaborate with hardware, product and leadership teams.
• Research emerging technologies and evaluate new approaches for products.
• Support product certification, EMC testing and regulatory compliance.
