Job summary

Catalyst, a County Durham based market-leading electronics designer and manufacturer, seeks a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join its R&D function. You will lead the design and development of advanced embedded systems, translating requirements into robust architectures and driving the full product lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, perform design and code reviews, and ensure the integration of software with hardware, sensors, and communication modules.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in embedded systems development at a senior/leadership level.
• Educated to Degree level in an appropriate discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced embedded systems for new and existing products.
• Define embedded software and hardware architectures.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and senior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
