Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer to lead embedded software strategy, silicon feature enablement, and ecosystem alignment across AMD Adaptive and x86 platforms. The role focuses on Physical AI, robotics, edge AI, and autonomous systems, engaging with engineering, product, and partners to shape software roadmap.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience developing and deploying complex software stacks from bootloaders to rich OS or RTOS deployments.
• Experience defining technical requirements, architectures, or roadmaps for customer-facing embedded software solutions.
• Strong cross-functional communication and dependency management skills.
• Experience with FPGA-based devices (AMD Adaptive Zynq/Versal) and embedded x86 (Ryzen Embedded).
• Experience with Physical AI, robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, computer vision, AI/ML deployment, or edge AI software frameworks is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand silicon enablement roadmap with marketing feedback on required software components.
• Collaborate with engineering to maintain deliverable roadmaps for embedded and Physical AI customers.
• Define and promote requirements for bootloaders, Linux OS, Zephyr RTOS, Xen Hypervisor, and OpenAMP.
• Align software requirements for Physical AI: virtualization, Yocto Linux, robotics frameworks, AI runtimes, and autonomous systems stacks.
• Deliver demonstrations, reference designs, and technical content to accelerate customer adoption.
• Engage with strategic customers, ecosystem partners, and open-source communities to shape software roadmap.
