Job summary

Naim Audio Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer (DSP) to develop embedded firmware for SHARC DSP processors powering our streaming audio systems. You will be part of the R&D team shaping next-generation products, prototyping in C and MATLAB, and collaborating with electronics and acoustics engineers.

The role requires strong real-time embedded software background with DSP experience, and a passion for audio. You will debug prototypes and drive software bring-up on custom PCBs.

Qualifications

• Strong real-time embedded software background with signal processing experience.
• Audio DSP experience is desirable; interest in audio is essential.
• Familiarity with electronics and prototype debugging techniques.
• Experience designing embedded software for complex electronics products.
• C/C++ programming with at least 6 years of commercial experience.
• Familiarity with modern software tools: Git, Jira, and Agile.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded software for DSP applications.
• Write drivers for DSP peripherals and PCB components.
• Develop processing chain components in MATLAB and implement in C on DSP.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to define interfaces between processors.
• Work with acoustics team to improve performance and sound quality.
• Bring up DSP and digital audio circuitry on prototype PCBs using test equipment.
• Produce clear documentation communicating ideas and design decisions.
• Engage in peer code review.
