Job summary

Maru Search & Consultancy is partnering with a globally recognised British audio engineering brand to appoint a Software Engineer (DSP) in its R&D team. The role focuses on embedded firmware for SHARC DSP processors in premium streaming audio systems and involves collaboration with acoustics, electronics, and firmware engineers.

You will develop real-time C/C++ software for DSP-based applications, prototype DSP algorithms in MATLAB, optimise audio pipelines, and bring up DSP hardware with test

Qualifications

Strong commercial C/C++ experience.
Experience developing firmware for DSP processors or strong DSP knowledge.
Experience with real-time embedded systems,

Responsibilities

Develop real-time embedded software in C for DSP-based applications.
Prototype DSP algorithms in MATLAB before implementing in C.
Build and optimise audio signal processing pipelines.
Write low-level drivers for DSP and board peripherals.
Bring up DSP and digital audio circuitry on early prototype hardware.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and debug designs.
Contribute to software architecture, processor interfaces, reviews and docs.
