Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer in the UK, with hybrid work in Plymouth or Bristol. The role focuses on designing and integrating analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across product lifecycles, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver robust solutions.

The team values strong fundamentals in analogue electronics, high-speed digital interfaces, and proficiency with E-CAD tooling, alongside exposure to MEMS sensor tech and advanced IC design.

Qualifications

• A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong theoretical understanding of analogue electronics.
• Experience integrating analogue circuitry with high-speed digital devices (FPGAs, DSPs, microprocessors).
• Experience designing precision circuitry (op-amps, DACs, ADCs, voltage references).
• Understanding of control theory and open/closed-loop systems.
• Experience using E-CAD for schematic capture, PCB layout and simulation.

Job description

As a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer, you will apply your expertise in mixed-signal electronic design and system-level integration to support the development of complex, high-performance products. You will:

• Design, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle for new and legacy products and test equipment.
• Support hardware integration testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Use E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.
• Work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
