Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United Kingdom (Hybrid) seeks a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to design, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics for complex aerospace products. You will support hardware integration testing and work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires a 2:1 Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering, strong analogue electronics knowledge, and experience spanning high-speed digital integration with

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of analogue electronics.
  • Experience integrating analogue with high-speed digital devices (FPGAs, DSPs, microprocessors).
  • Experience using E-CAD for schematic capture, PCB layout and simulation.

Job description

As a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer, you will apply your expertise in mixed-signal electronic design and system-level integration to support the development of complex, high-performance products. You will:

  • Design, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle for new and legacy products and test equipment.
  • Support hardware integration testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Use E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.
  • Work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • A strong theoretical understanding of analogue electronics.
  • Experience integrating sensitive analogue circuitry with high-speed digital devices such as FPGAs, DSPs and microprocessors.
  • Experience designing precision circuitry, including op-amps, DACs, ADCs and voltage references.
  • An understanding of control theory and open and closed-loop systems.
  • Experience using E-CAD systems for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.
Skills & Experience We Value

We would also be interested in experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Xpedition, HyperLynx, LTSpice/AMS or similar tools.
  • VHDL/Verilog architectural design, coding and simulation, particularly with Xilinx or Microchip technologies, including SoC.
  • Embedded C/C++ for integration and problem solving.
  • MEMS sensor technology.
