Job summary

Platform Recruitment in Royston, UK, is seeking a Senior Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join a collaborative team tasked with developing and improving PCBA manufacturing and automated test capability.

You will lead a small team, drive new product introductions, and work closely with R&D, Quality and suppliers to ensure reliable, efficient processes. The role is hands-on, focusing on troubleshooting and data-driven improvements with clear ownership of manufacturing and test capability.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in electronics design and electronics manufacturing engineering.
Hands-on experience with PCBA manufacturing and automated test equipment.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with structured problem solving and RCA.
Firmware/ software understanding with basic coding ability.

Responsibilities

Lead and provide technical leadership to a small team of electronics manufacturing and test engineers/technicians.
Lead projects introducing new products, manufacturing processes and automated test equipment.
Design, develop, validate, maintain and document automated test systems and verification processes.
Develop data acquisition solutions from manufacturing and test equipment.
Provide technical support to Manufacturing via structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot and repair PCBA assemblies.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and external suppliers to resolve issues.
