Job summary

Sonardyne International Ltd invites an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineer to take technical ownership of analogue, digital and mixed-signal hardware across our subsea products. You will design low-noise, low-power electronics, develop FPGA-based architectures, and work from concept through prototype to manufacture, writing embedded C/C++ for bring-up and diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • Design analogue/digital/mixed-signal electronics for subsea products.
  • Develop low-noise, low-power circuitry and sensor interfaces.
  • Take designs from concept to production with verification and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Design analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Develop low-noise and low-power circuitry and interfaces.
  • Take designs from concept through prototype to manufacture.
  • Use CAD for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Select components with performance, cost, and manufacturability in mind.
  • Build and test boards and prototypes in the lab.
  • Debug hardware and resolve challenging issues.
  • Write embedded C/C++ to support board bring-up and integration.
  • Ensure EMC-aware design and assist EMC testing/compliance.
  • Plan and carry out verification/validation of new hardware.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure reliable production.
  • Investigate production issues and manage obsolescence and improvements.
  • Review designs and share expertise across the team.
