Job summary

Teledyne e2v in Chelmsford seeks an Electronics Engineer with FPGA and hardware expertise to join a cross-disciplinary team delivering advanced Space-grade FEE systems. The role covers FPGA design in VHDL, verification, and end-to-end life cycle from concept to test.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado, Microchip Libero, and Altium, and be able to work with cross-functional teams to meet stringent space-grade requirements.

Qualifications

• Industrial FPGA design in VHDL with verification.
• Functional verification using self-checking benches and timing analysis.
• Full PCB design lifecycle for space applications using Altium, including schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with FPGA development lifecycle and collaboration with software/electronics/systems engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end FPGA development, from requirements to delivery.
• Collaborate with software, electronics and systems engineers to architect solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, conduct trade-off analyses and estimate effort and material costs.
• Engage in bid and business development support with cross-functional teams.
