Thales in Reading is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design, develop and qualify complex electronic circuits within a hybrid working model. You will collaborate with systems, mechanical and software teams to ensure solutions meet safety and regulatory standards while supporting bid activities and ongoing product development.
Experience across the full design lifecycle, board-level testing and EMC qualification is essential.

We have over 100 years’ experience in design and manufacture of state-of-the-art Periscopes and Optronics and have led Optronics innovation on a global scale, by combining world-leading expertise from across the Thales group.
This role covers all aspects of the product lifecycle, from requirements through specification, concept studies, design and development, integration, validation and qualification. This is a great opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer to build technical skills, widen their systems understanding and develop their career.

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a non-ITAR country may be considered.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
