A cutting-edge technology company in London is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and develop electronic systems for pioneering neuromonitoring devices. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of the electronic systems that power CoMind’s neuromonitoring technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, low-noise, and reliable electronics that integrate seamlessly with mechanical, optical, and software components. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our devices meet stringent regulatory, safety, and performance standards. This job requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office.
Design, develop, and verify electronic components for CoMind’s neuromonitoring devices
Execute complete lifecycles for electronic subsystems from concept through manufacturing release
Develop electronics prototypes to support technical de-risking efforts
Utilise Altium for schematic capture, PCB layout, and part creation
Create requirements specifications, FMEAs, and work instructions
Create and execute verification test plans to support product verification and validation
Participate in and conduct technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and project planning sessions
Collaborate with FPGA engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and optics team members to ensure accurate definition, execution, and integration of electronics components in the product
Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure scalable and cost-effective production of electronic assemblies
Support troubleshooting, debugging, and failure analysis of electronic systems during development and production.
5+ years of experience in electronics design, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry
Proficiency using Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout
Strong proficiency in mixed-signal circuit design, preferably specialising in low-noise, safety-critical hardware
Knowledge of product development processes and design controls
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and methodology
Familiarity with FPGAs, design experience is a plus
Familiarity with embedded firmware, design experience is a plus
Experience in EMI/EMC compliance, signal integrity, and safety-critical design
Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory requirements (IEC 60601, 47 CFR, ISO 13485) is a plus
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with hands-on experience in prototyping and testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members
Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
